'There is nobody like Kareena', Saif bursts with anger

Saif Ali Khan is normally known for his cool headed personality but this time, the actor lost his temper. In a press conference he was asked one wired question that made him go red on camera. Recently Vivek Oberoi was asked of what kind of girl he wants in his life and he replied that she should be like his co-star Kareena Kapoor. “When this was told to Said in another press conference, all could see his face as he gave a very diplomat answer to it,” chirps the khabroo.

“He just said that, there is only one Kareena and nobody like her. Though his facial expression changed but some how Bebo managed to calm him down,” adds the source. It seems Saif is bit insecure about his rapport with Bebo but why to worry as Kareena is with you. Now we understand of why they are called Safieena…

Karan tells, “shut up” to Kareena’s request of editing ‘lovemaking act’

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor might take on the world and face all criticism and competition head on, but when it comes to her mum, the sizzler gets sweaty hands and cold feet. The Kapoor lass who showcased her bold outlook by enacting a no-holds bar lovemaking scene with beau Saif in Kurbaan is now requesting good-pal and producer Karan Johar to edit the erotic romp for a single show that will be attended by her mother Babita and close pals.

Not so bold after all! Even though the sassy belle has been more than just vocal about her intimate love scene with her beau as she goes hoping from one channel to the other talking about her ‘it’ act, the actress is making sure that her mum misses her raunchy act. And why is Kareena acting so nervous? Even though Babita knows about the intimate scene, Bebo wasn’t sure as to how her mother would react to seeing her do something so bold on-screen. Talking about her mother`s reaction, Kareena said, “I asked Karan if he could hide that one reel only from mom`s trial”.

However, Karan turned down Bebo’s request. The director reportedly told her,” Shut up Bebo, and go take a walk. I`m doing no such thing.” Well, looks like Kareena should be ready to extinguish some fireworks.

Dulha Mil Gaya Trailer

Shahrukh & Salman Khan at Ramesh Taurani party

Rates of Bollywood Stars Per Minute

Katrina Kaif : If you want Bollywood stars in your party then emptying your pockets is the only way out! Let's start with the queenbee of Bollywood who is ruling the roost courtesy her smashing good looks and a spate of recent hits. Getting to know Katrina Kaif more closely at a party is no mean task...she charges a cool Rs 1.75 lakh for every minute she stays. What's more - she refuses to be a part of any ribbon-cutting inauguration ceremony unless she is assured of pocketing Rs 20 lakhs!

John-Bipasha: If you ever thought of a glamorous business partnership, this is the one. The two together come at a discounted price! The duo charge Rs 3.33 lakh for every minute they make an appearance. The same however does not hold true for another Bollywood couple - Saif-Kareena. There is no business pairing here. If you want to see them together - your only option is a private party the two might have been invited to. As for the individual rates... Bebo charges Rs 1.25 lakh per minute.

Salman Khan: The one actor who makes sure that his presence at every occasion is as stately as his cult-status, is the Bollywood hunk - Salman Khan. The handsome Khan refuses to make an appearance unless and until the host has shelled out a whopping Rs 4 lakh for every minute Salman decides to grace the event. It doesn't stop here. For anyone who is loaded enough to have Salman as his paid guest, has to make sure that the flamboyant Khan pockets a cool Rs 1 cr which is over and above his rate per minute.

Hrithik Roshan: If you thought that having Salman at any party is a costly affair, here's another shocker. The actor who demands more moolah than even Salman is the suave and charming Hrithik Roshan. He charges Rs 4.25 lakh per minute and has to be guaranteed a cool Rs 1.25 crore as the appearance money. And yes...this is the highest among all the Bollywood stars. This was the big league ...if you think that Bollywood stars are simply unaffordable, then the following list offers respite.

The 'affordable' ones: These stars are the 'affordable' ones. They might not be a part of B-town's A-league, but they certainly don't come dirt cheap either. In the Rs 50,000 per minute bracket are a bevy of hotties - Amrita Rao, Amisha Patel, Manisha Koirala. Then there are the likes of Dino Morea, Neha Dhupia, Minnisha Lamba, Mughdha Godse who are regulars on the party circuit. Not surprisingly though - their asking rate...a comparatively cheaper Rs 10,000 per minute!

Every kid imagines what it would be like to be an adult. He wishes he could grow up quicker. Of course, once he grows up, a small part of him wishes he could go back to his childhood days. Quite an irony, isn't it?

There's a line in AAO WISH KAREIN that goes, 'If you want to be a part of a fairy tale, it's important that you believe in it [fairy tale].' The statement is applicable for everyone desirous of watching AAO WISH KAREIN.

No relief for Bhandarkar in Preeti Jain rape case

Trouble seems to be far from over for Madhur Bhandarkar with a local court on Wednesday saying it will conduct an inquiry into rape charges by aspiring actress Preeti Jain against the filmmaker who, however, is unlikely to face arrest.
The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate while rejecting the adverse report by police said it would conduct an inquiry into the case and record Jain's statement on December 22.

The court observed that Bhandarkar need not be arrested in the case. The police had submitted the 'B' Summary report stating that Jain's complaint is false and lacks evidence.

In July 2004, Jain had lodged a complaint alleging that Bhandarkar had raped her several times between 1999 and 2004 under the pretext of marrying her and casting her as actress in his movies.

"The court's order rejecting the report is a stamp on the genuineness of my case," Jain told reporters outside the court. "The magistrate will now look into the evidences of the case," Jain's lawyer Sushan Kunjuraman said.

Three-time National Award-winning Bhandarkar is known for realistic movies like "Chandni Bar", "Page 3" and "Traffic Signal". His latest movie "Jail", starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse released last week.

Bhandarkar could not be reached for comments.

Vote For Actor of the Decade

Vectran Actor Om Puri Upset With his Wife

Om furious!: Om Puri is enormously upset with his wife, journalist-columnist Nandita for highlighting some of his most private sexual incidents to market her biography, Unlikely Hero: The Story Of Om Puri. A discernibly upset Om said, "I don't care if she's my wife. I won't let her get away with it. I heard her speaking about the biography she's written on me. I was shocked by her revelations. She was talking about my sexual encounters as though those were my biggest achievements!"

'Sacred part': Om's main reason for being upset is Nandita's revelation that he had sex with his maid Shanti at 14. She has also exposed Om's longstanding liaison with a woman named Laxmi with whom Om was sexually and emotionally involved. Om is livid. "My wife has reduced a sacred part of my life to cheap and lurid gossip. If she chose to make them public at least she should've made sure to maintain a dignity about experiences that are a valuable part of my life."

'Beautiful experience': Om says that Laxmi was one of the most important women in his life. "This lady whom Nandita talks in such an undignified manner was Laxmi, who raised me and my brother's orphaned children. My relationship with her was a homage to her loyalty for looking after me unconditionally." Om doesn't deny he had sex with Laxmi. "But it was not a furtive and sleazy experience. It was beautiful. Why make such a tamasha out of these very sensitive moments?"

'Can't forgive her': The actor complains that Nandita didn't allow him to read the manuscript. "How was I to know how she would use the incidents from my life to sell her book?" When we promised to be discreet in putting forward his anguish and humiliation, Om retorted, "Please don't be discreet. Has she exercised any discretion in talking about my personal experiences? The final decision to put my life up as a tamasha was Nandita's. I can't forgive her."

'Maid' reality': When we asked Nandita for her side of the story, she said, "My book on my husband is a biography, not bl***y pornography. It's about Om, the man and the actor. Om has all the human foibles, just like all of us. He had sex as an adolescent with his maid and then he had a long liaison with the other lady who was also a maid. This was his way of coming out of his other relationships. If Om has any objection to her being called a maid he's just being unrealistic."

Akshay's film based on Bihari engineer's murder

Priyadarshan new comedy Khatta Meetha starring Akshay Kumar has been altered to accommodate newspaper headlines. The film is now based on the mysterious 2009 murder of Bihar PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey who was allegedly killed by the crime cartel controlling the road construction business in the state. His body was found on June 18, 2009. Akshay Kumar plays the murdered engineer’s colleague who helps to bring the culprits to book. Priyan says, “My film has now become the story of Bihar’s road mafia. Makrand Deshpande plays the murdered engineer while Akshay plays his colleague.”

Initially, the film was based on Priyan’s 1988 drama Vellanakalude Nadu. “Initially, Khatta Meetha was based on the road mafia and corruption in the construction business but at that point of time, it was entirely fictional.” It was Akshay who suggested that the film be contemporised by bringing in Pandey’s notorious death. Priyan says, “We brought in the whole story of the death of the honest road engineer in Bihar who was apparently killed by the corrupt road mafia when he threatened to expose their wrongdoings. We introduced Makrand’s character based on Yogendra Pandey and Akshay as the friend and colleague who uncovers the bloody trail.”

Priyan and Akshay have hit on a new formula to counter the charge of making mindless comedies. Khatta Meetha being shot in dusty Satara at the moment blends satire with a social message. Priyan adds, “I think I’ll be doing this kind of a mixture of social comment and satire more often. In Khatta Meetha we took up a very serious and disturbing crime situation in Bihar but treated it lightly. No one wants to watch grim films anymore. We just have to find a way of letting the audience know what’s actually going on in the world while transporting them into a make-believe world at the same time.”

Akshay Kumar went out of his way to complete this film. “We did it in 90 days at a stretch. Akshay believes we’ve been able to do something important here. The message comes through the comedy,” said Priyan.

Abhishek plays conman in 'Special Chabbis' Film

A Wednesday’ director Neeraj Pandey who is making Special Chabbis based on the notorious 1987 heist at Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri jewellery store at Opera House, has signed Abhishek Bachchan to play the lead role. Abhishek will play the man who booked a room in a posh Mumbai hotel as Mohan Singh and proceeded to commit the most daring daylight robbery in the city. Singh recruited 26 conmen, who posed as income tax officers, and raided the Opera House branch of TBZ and walked away with jewellery worth lakhs.

According to sources, Neeraj finalised Abhishek for the role because he is from Uttar Pradesh. Although no one knows if Mohan Singh was the main conman’s real name, he apparently hailed from UP and was in his mid-30s. Abhishek was an obvious choice as he too has a UP lineage and belongs to the same age group. Abhishek loved Neeraj’s A Wednesday and was happy to be part of Special Chabbis.

Since the role is based on a real life character, Abhishek needs to prepare for his role in terms of speech and body language.

Neeraj confirmed the news and said, “I can’t deny that Abhishek is on board but I want to get some other key members of the cast in place before I make a formal announcement. The film requires 26 actors and I want to make sure all of them are just right for their part. I will start the project in mid-2010. Before that I am producing a film titled 3 Large 1 Small under my banner Friday Filmworks. It’s the story of a somewhat young man who looks back on his life. I’m currently hunting for a director and a main lead.”

Meanwhile, there’s bad news for those waiting for Neeraj to start the prequel to A Wednesday. After the Tamil remake of A Wednesday (Unnaipol Oruvan), Neeraj has decided to shelve the earlier planned prequel. “I’ve to admit the remake (Unnaipol Oruvan) makes my plans to make a prequel to A Wednesday redundant now. I think we need to move on from A Wednesday. That’s what Special Chabbis gives me a chance to do,” said Neeraj.

Sanjay Dutt walks out of 'Faltu' film

Sanjay Dutt and producer Vashu Bhagnani have had a serious fight because the latter broke his promise of relaunching Sanjay’s good friend Dharam Oberoi’s daughter Neha. To make matters worse, Vashu replaced Neha without informing the actor. Consequently, a dismayed Sanjay has walked out of Vashu’s film, Faltu, which is also supposed to re-launch the producer’s son Jackky Bhagnani.

Our source said, “Sanjay and Vashu have always been on very good terms. Sanjay even did an item number without charging any money in Kal Kissne Dekha. Sanjay agreed to star in Faltu only because it was supposed to be the re-launch film for his close friend and manager Dharam Oberoi’s daughter, Neha, who had earlier starred in the tanked Woodstock Villa opposite Sikandar Kher. But while Sanjay was busy promoting All The Best, Vashu went ahead and signed on the current Miss India-World Pooja Chopra, and unceremoniously dropped Neha from his film. Sanjay was furious when he got to know about this and told Vashu that since he had failed to keep his word, he too won’t keep his promise. Vashu is now trying to get Anil Kapoor to replace Sanjay.”

Vashu said, “I had not even signed Sanju as the script is not ready yet. Sanju has to read the script and then decide. I have always maintained that he is a friend and has helped us with Kal Kissne Dekha. We will finalise everything only when the script is ready.” Sanjay’s spokesperson confirmed that he is no longer part of Vashu’s film. He said cautiously, “Sanju opted out of the film due to date problems.”

Ayesha Takia lashes out at Raj Thackeray

Ayesha Takia’s father-in-law, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Abu Asim Azmi was physically abused by a MLA of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) during his swearing in ceremony on Monday in Mumbai. The ruckus happened when MLA Abu Asim Azmi started taking his oath in Hindi, in spite of MNS’ demand that all legislators should take the pledge in Marathi.

Deeply hurt and shocked by the aggressive behavior of MNS with Abu Azmi, daughter-in-law Ayesha Takia Azmi lashed out on MNS whole and soul Raj Thackeray and his party. “I am shocked and disgusted by the behaviour of Raj Thackeray and his people. The way they behaved with Abu Azmi during today’s swearing in was really unbelievable and disgusting. How can we ever feel safe in a place where gundas are allowed to behave as they want?”

Reacting on the restriction on language she says, “I love this city and we all do so how does it matter if we say Bombay or Mumbai? My grandfather was Marathi and my granny is British, my father Gujrati and my husband Muslim. I have always been cosmopolitan and don’t see why in this day and age it matters who belongs to what language.”

Criticizing language war Ayesha said, “Hindi Marathi English and any of our languages are allowed while taking the oath. We live in love and respect each other irrespective of cast and language. So why are gundas like Raj Thackeray and others allowed to break and kill our peace?”

Being a responsible citizen she requests chief minister and other parties to take action again this. “Our other respected leaders including the chief minister and other parties must unite and kick out Raj Thackeray and MNS. Law must take action. If action isn’t taken then this will be the beginning of breaking the peace!” She signs off.

Different Between Stupid and Idiot: Aamir Khan

head of the release of his new film "3 Idiots", Bollywood actor Aamir Khan Thursday drew a distinction between the term "idiots" and "stupid", saying that "idiots are very normal persons" who at some point prove themselves in an "unconventional way".

At an event in a city hotel to promote the first song of Rajkumar Hirani's "3 idiots", Aamir said: "Idiots are thought to be very normal persons but at some point of time they prove themselves to be someone with extra calibre. They are not stupid, rather they come to limelight in an unconventional way."

Actor R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi were also present at the screening of the song "Jab life ho out of control, all is well".

There are five songs in the film.

"3 idiots" is a story of three engineering students - Sharman Joshi, Aamir Khan and R. Madhavan - and their experiences on the campus.

Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani play important roles and Kajol makes a special appearance in the film. The campus shown in the film is of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

The film is scheduled to release Dec 25.
